The Budapest Hare Krishna Temple and Educational Center, located on Csillaghegy, welcomes its guests with a unique building and a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Functioning as a temple, the building provides space for devotees and visitors to practice the Krishna-conscious spiritual tradition.
The breathtaking, eye-pleasing interiors, the beautiful shrine, and the peaceful spiritual atmosphere attract many visitors. Thanks to its remarkable architecture, our center is also a popular tourist destination.
Our institution also operates the Govinda Csillaghegy Restaurant, offering vegan dishes, Indian specialties, and desserts. Our volunteers welcome you in a warm, family-like atmosphere and a truly magical environment.
Our center is open every day from 4:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

Our temple has been operating in its current form since 2006, after a complete renovation, welcoming visitors for almost 20 years. Since then, it has served as an open community space for everyone — a place where the moment you step in, you are enchanted by a special fragrance, atmosphere, and colors.
This place is more than just a temple — it is a true spiritual sanctuary, where you can find rest from the noise of the rushing world. It serves as a venue for cultural events, gastronomic programs, religious festivals, and colorful celebrations — a meeting place of joy, community, and spirituality. In our temple room, there are several opportunities each day to take part in shared ceremonies and meditations — everyone is welcome, regardless of background or faith.
You are always welcome to stop by — even if just for a few quiet minutes, or to spend an entire day here. Our temple hall also houses a restaurant and a gift shop, so both your soul and body can be nourished with delicious vegetarian food and lovingly prepared surprises.
